The Open Road London - 1927
This remarkable bit of footage takes a look at what London was like in 1927. Men with hats, bustling streets, white people everywhere. There are so many white people I thought a monster truck rally was taking place. Fortunately for England, Labours policy of flooding Britain will immigrants, solely for the purpose of pissing off Conservatives, has worked in spades. Not so much because the policy pissed off Conservatives, but because now the British feel like strangers in their own land. Congrats Labour, you’ve completely changed the face of England, and it only took you a decade.
And that’s why you’ll enjoy The Open Road London, because it looks so foreign, so out of place. There was a different reality back then, and even though times were bloody tough, the people sure looked to be having fun. At the very least, they didn’t look out of place.
Even if you’re not from England you’ll enjoy this. It’s a piece of history for many of us. And I’m proud of it.

When I lived in London last year, I was in the SW. All I have to say is that coming from Brampton, I felt right at home.
Also, I find that most English people seem to hate the Polish since there’s so many of them here. I like the perogies though, so I don’t add to the conversation.

Your description fits Toronto, too. It’s been 23 years since I moved here and I am now a visible minority (whitey).

Emily — it’s good to hear from you again! Are you permanently living in England now?
Josephine - You’re a minority on two counts - you’re white AND you’re a taxpayer. Double whammy.

It’s good to finally have my computer back! I was living in a tent up in the North of England for 6 months doing youth work, but I’m finally back in civilization…well, I live in Plymouth, so close enough. I got hitched to an English guy and hopefully (immigration pending…) will be back in Canada by Christmas next year. I’m so glad to see Mitchieville still going strong!!
