Politically Correct, eh??

I use the term myself, and think political correctness is not good, but perhaps there are others who would like to have their say.

How about Wikipedia’s definition??

Political correctness (adjectivally, politically correct; both forms commonly abbreviated to PC) is a term applied to language, ideas, policies, or behavior seen as seeking to minimize offense to gender, racial, cultural, disabled, aged or other identity groups. Conversely, the term “politically incorrect” is used to refer to language or ideas that may cause offense or that are unconstrained by orthodoxy.

That’s a good start, nice and neutral. Wikipedia says the term originated in Mao’s Little Red Book, becoming a phrase that is critical of dogmatism. In spite of the source, the term has been adopted into the mainstream and is gererally used in reference to ideas which are emotionly appealing, but lack a basis in fact.

I have an email from Bill Cosby, the famous black commedian, in which he expresses profound disappointment with the black community in the US. He is extremely critical. He may even be politically incorrect. The position Mr. Crosby takes is that the root of the problem lies within the community with the problem. I have posted the email.

There was a professor at the university in London who was canned because he released the average IQ’s of various groups, sorted by race. It was the position of the Board of Governors that this information would only serve to promote racist attitudes. Perhaps, but thinking people know that a difference of 7% between the best and the worst groups means nothing at the individual level. He was canned because the politically correct point of view is that race is not a factor. Really??

Then am I seeing things when I see that certain visible minorities are over represented in football and basketball?? Could we demand that the racial makeup of sports teams reflect the racial constitution of the community at large?? Sorry, that is trash. Let the best, based on performance, rise to the top.

And if it’s an acceptable ideology for sports teams, then it’s acceptable in the community at large.

If certain visible minorities are way over represented on the welfare roles, it is politically correct not to notice nor are we to apply the same rules to all citizens. If some cultural groups seem to have a problem maintaining any family stability, it is politically correct not to notice nor offer any sort of solution, in spite of the detrimental effects on that group or the larger society.

It’s politically correct to say that WASPs can be and are racist, while visible minorities cannot, by definition, be racist. And when the politically correct politicians are faced with the politically incorrect reality, they can offer no solutions.

Abuse the hell out of native kids in residential schools, isolate the communities out of the mainstream, stereotype the members of the community and then blame the individuals for their dysfunctional personalities and social skills. Then promote the politically correct idea that society at large must fix the problem for them, while the politically correct social workers siphon off the money.

Hell, the best thing to do is stop interfering. Allow the individuals and communities to find their own solutions. They do and the results are good. Like a child who is over-managed, the message until now is about being unable to look after their own affairs.

Enough of the politically correct, left wing, superior attitude.

So, speak up. Leave your comments.

You can tie this into your evolution post, Professor Bob.

The unfortunates that fall under the sway of the social services are merely following a good thing. Indeed, the free money of the welfare state is a tasty, sugar coated treat, but in the long long its high carb, no protein diet does them no justice. We may despise the gangbangers of Jane and Finch, and their criminal lifestyle oppresses others, but they are merely the product of their environment. Behind every Crip is a social worker, a teacher, a food banker. The gangbangers live lives, short lives, of violence and misery. But they were encouraged in this by aliens from beyond their communities who derive sustenance from their numbers, and to create the numbers, the aliens needs must encourage the gangbanger culture in the first place. Like ants enslaving aphids, so too the social welfare system has enslaved these peoples. They drink their life force in the form of pay cheques, pensionable hours.

Indeed, the pretty cameoflage of this, at turns, disgusting, then disturbing, system is the image, the tinsel, of political correctness. The de-normalization of normal culture (mom and dad and the kids culture, the have a job culture, the school is good culture) is part of the lifestyle of the parasite wasps niche that feasts upon these unfortunates.

Even the purity of the Bolshevism that these parasites utter is corrupt.

Political correctness is a front for these vampires that suck upon the blood of the criminals they have created, and cover for the spending of the money they have lied and stolen from the working class. If Lenin was alive, he would be demanding that these swine be overthrown.

    Ugh

    Ah, yes,
The screw-ups that get done in the name of political correctness. As always, you cut to the heart of the matter.
