So long, Israel

It is Colombus day in the U.S. of A. The progressives hate Colombus day. Which gets me thinking about all the other things that progressives hate. Things progressives hate tend to disappear. Progressives hate Israel.

There are alot of facts and figures floating around about Israel. UN resolution this, matching massacres of the war of back when, and all the things that dreamboat Fidel said. And those most astute propagandists, the progressives, cherry pick the facts they like and make a cake, a pie, or a tart of justification of the destruction of the state of Israel. Given that the progressives have control of the academia, media, and the elites that like to spend our taxes, it is inevitable that Israel is doomed to the compost pile of history.

Academia. I was in conversation with a scholar attending the University of Western Ontario. He, like most students who are in the A and B marks range, wears a kaffiyeh. Wearing the gang clothing of the left sure helps the grade point average. And, as a intellectual, staring down his nose at me, as I do not have a background in the history of the pertinent bits, nor a grasp of the feelings and longings of the Palestinian people, just do not understand the situation. I guess I do not. It has gone too far for that, I guess. This fine young academic will graduate in a few years, his memory of his tour in telemarketing fading fast as he steps into his government job, administering the wealth of a ever shrinking class of taxpayers. And he will carry with him his beliefs, completely unshaken by any sort of thought crimes of differing opinions.

Roland at Roncesvalles. Towards the end of our conversation, the bright light of youth remarked that the Muslims had never done a violent act against Western Christendom. Strangely enough, in my knapsack (the visible one, the one I use to lug my raincoat around in now that I am made poor by the economic crisis that savior Obama has not got around to resurrecting yet) is a copy of The Song of Roland *. It says on the back cover of this Penguin Classic about the massacre of Roland by the Saracens, way back in 778 AD. I no longer argue with progressives, instead I wonder, in my mind, what will be the outcome of such a fine education, such a fine belief system. And if you want to argue that Basques (Vascones) are not Saracens, we can move on to Charles Martel and the Woodstock festival at Tours *.

Media. Our Trotskyite media does a fine job of keeping Israel in a bad light. Every Palestinian death is mourned; the corresponding Israeli is ignored. New weapons of evil are discovered, like Israeli phosphorus, or Israeli concrete walls, or Israeli’s just doing too much breathing. And the media has it’s own struggles. Nobody much reads the Trotskyites. If you look at the data from market research, especially the secret stuff the large corporations gather, you will know that the main stream media is a zombie, kept going by eating the brains of shut-ins and people dying of waiting in waiting rooms for universal health care. But the Trotskyite vision is unchallenged, and there are, what?, two generations of Che-shirts out cashing government cheques out there. They hate Israel. Their teachers told them so, and the CBC made it right, er, left. This is not going to change.

The elites. Our elites are not the vibrant rulers cast up by a dynamic democracy. No, we got aristocrats. The sons and daughters and bastards of the last generation of dynamic leaders. Some, a few have talent. But not all, and, in fact, most are challenged in their roles. They are idiots, and they choke out the other exceptional souls that should be elites. But the progressives in academia and the media fawn over bloodlines. Blockhead here is a spawn of Trudeau. Bonehead is the son of a great author. In the middle ages they called it nepotism. Here, we call it activism. And these stupid people, whose link to talent is having had their diapers changed by a doting, talented, parent, are pushing the buttons.

Marcus Aurelius. The last emperor of the five good emperors. So, why was there no sixth good emperor? Well, Marcus had his son as heir, not the best man. Having the best man for your leader works. Having relatives and cast off, to-be-pensioned lovers, as leaders does not work. It is a lesson of dead white man’s history, which the dusky illiterates that call themselves Ph.D. have not learnt. And the media keeps telling us that Commodus is as good as his dad, Marcus, and just as good as Hadrian and Trajan. Which gets us back to the soon to be expunged state of Israel.

Arguments. There is alot of stuff available on the internet that was once unavailable, except for those willing to dig through a library. It can be packaged, activist fashion, puffed like a truthy media story, and fed to those willing to eat it. Questions that question the actual number of Jews fed to the ovens. Revelations about war atrocities. The Jews who escaped by buying their way out, and the Jews who worked for the National Socialists in the camps and thus survived (Kapos, the krauts called them, Kapos). There is much rich compost for the discerning activist seeking to prepare the Israeli’s for Masada the sequel, much as they prepared America for 9/11, the sequel to Pearl Harbor. No, the animus against Israel is deep, well-edumacated, and puffed in the media. Why talk about if, and instead about how and when.

How and When. Well, all Obama has to do is cut of the supply of fuel and ammunition. This is how Vietnam fell. Jane Fonda and her partisan band of Bolsheviks spread the milk of defeatism and self-loathing, drop by drop, from her perfect Viet Cong curvy breasts. Sure, the Jews have a nuke or two, but can they get a plane off the ground in the last days? Will slagging Damascus stop the raping, pillaging freedom fighters around Haifa? Nope. Without that American muscle, Israel is toast. And you just need to count the days as the elites, the dying media, and the tenured academia, work their caring poison. I say that Obama will pull the plug on Israel. Tell me it is not so. Tell me he is not surrounded by those that will help him pull the plug. Convince me that the media, academia, and elites will stop, delay, or discourage him. Go ahead, try. And when you see the street party in Chicago, dancing to hip hop at the vids of the burning of Israel, maybe you will be convinced.

Aftermath. That is a post for another day. There will be a right wing backlash, I suppose. A bourgeois revolution to overthrow the aristocrats. Nothing that the dead white males have not seen before, only the perfumed elites haven’t read it. Maybe on the way to the guillotine they can brush up on all they missed. For as surely as Roland met his end at his personal 9/11, so too will Charlemagne avenge him, both in the past, and in the present future. Vascones, or Saracens, to the sword. It is a tradition of my people, don’t you know.

    Pastor Fenris…BRILLIANT! I’m not kidding.

I mean, I’m just a stupid southern, redneck, U.S. Christian. But I’ve looked at the Bible once or twice anyway.

I have many thoughts on what you have written here. But I’m sure that any further comment would seem “copycat.” Most of it would be about “them Jooooz,” so I won’t tempt The Lord by walkin’ the edge of perdition.

Thank you for confirming things I have felt deeply in my heart for many years. I learnt a whole bunch about the Frogs that I did not know by hitting the links.

    Seriously…Thank you.

Barry giving a billion dollars to Hamas was a pretty good clue too. An now that he won the nobel peace prize it’s confirmed. Jew hatred is mandatory to be considered for that award.

Hopefully I don’t sound like I have my toungue in Feris’ ass.

Israel said yesterday, “If we stand alone, then we stand alone.” This ain’t the Israel that was fed to the ovens. I think this is David’s Israel.

  4. Ed Says:

This stuff is completely horrifying, and I promise you, this IS David’s Israel.

I grew in a home that made sure I knew certain things. A very devout Pentecostal Family, though we attended a Baptist church as well for many years. I ASKED to be baptized at 7, and was much more spiritually astute in my youth than I have been in recent years.

lately, I’m somewhat ashamed to admit I’ve been motivated by fear to start reading & studying again. Though I can’t recite scripture much, I HAVE been shown the bigger picture as the Bible tells it (Though I’m revisiting it all again now that I’m old enough to understand.) ANYWAY…

By the way, did you ever have a belief and had someone prove it scientifically? I’d like to share something that did it for me, if anyone is curious. Heck, even if you’re not, it might be a great chance to have something to make fun of me for! Check this out: http://drdino.com/media-categories.php?c=seminars&v=10

I’ve seen this man present twice, and he shifted my paradigm completely. Looking back… Man, the last 10 years of my life or so… I really knew better, and have been an idiot. BUT, I DIGRESS, and before you stop me, I DO know what that means. :|

    Now, to REGRESS… (Nice, huh?)

Stuff I learned would happen near and after the second coming of Christ when I was 10 years old and on, is starting to look more and more likely than possible. Is anybody as deeply troubled by this as I am?

  5. Ed Says:

I only ask because most people think I’m bat-shit crazy. HEY, let’s have a poll:

    Is Ed bat-shit crazy?

    A) Yes.

    B) No.

    C) Pipe down, we’re watching TV.

  6. nancy Says:

    B) no

Good stuff, a friend who is Jewish and I have recently held an e-mail discussion on the same lines as your post. This may be David’s Israel but then South Africa had nukes as well.

Consider the p.o.v from which it would seem dishonest, or internally self-contradictory, to write “so long Israel”. Yes, the present state of Israel could suffer some act of destruction. But the very fact that someone would care enough to say “so long”, that one would even bother to say anything about it, implies some kind of message to past and future, implying a belief in an eternal truth or principle that Israel represents, and that could take a stately presence in this world again. It is the truth that we can speak for ourselves, that we can make our own self-ruling nations, as a way of negotiating our differences for ourselves without the rule of kings and caliphates; it is the truth that becomes operational by denying that anyone has the means to invoke the presence of God as a special right. (The “chosen people” don’t claim some special right of chosenness – God punishes them in history when they go astray. To be “chosen” is simply to be among those charged with keeping alive the memory of the God who refused Moses’ request for His name.)

Israel represents a theological/anthropological truth; Gnosticism, in its un-negotiable resentment of the world that is, does not. As long as there are people who want to be free, in their own nations, “Israel” will be a principle that just can’t go away.

Having said that, anyone who thinks Obama is capable of doing more than calling in all U.S. debts, denying all received alliances, while addressing the Muslim world as a whole, as if such Utopian religious entities as the “Umma” were the proper concern of the American President, as if Obama were some kind of Messiah who can bring perpetual peace and justice to the world, needs to hypothesize how, before pronouncing the end. How will Obama actually justify to the American people, and put in play, new signs and relationships that necessarily entail the end of the present state of Israel? It is one thing to resent reality as such and present yourself as the saviour; it is another to act on reality in ways that show you actually believe in something tangible. How many Americans are like the college students who just want to engage in a trashing of what is?

Things may fall apart simply through negligence and Obama’s sense of “pragmatism” and disregard for free peoples; but in the meantime Israel is building new alliances with nations and states to the east. Many in control of oil spigots and arms factories don’t, when push comes to shove, really want a victory for the Muslim Brotherhood.

I won’t say the destruction can’t happen; i won’t say we don’t need to think about preparations for saving Jewish refugees; but let’s not forget the principled basis of our faith in freedom and in all that we can’t know is possible until it is.

Fenris, that is too well-written. It makes too much sense. I fear you are right and I can only hope to God that you are wrong.

(BTW, it was good to see you at the “Tea Party” in London.)

  12. nancy Says:

    “Things may fall apart”
like the only democracy in that region.

    “I won’t say destruction can’t happen”
I’ll take the threats of Iran and Hamas literally.

    “Obama’s…disregard for free peoples”
    I call it betrayal.

“think about preparations for saving the Jewish people”
I’m glad your at least charitable.

Israel is not a logo for freedom, like “Remember the Alamo”, or such.

  15. Fenris Badwulf Says:

Ed, I would like to comment at length on such topics as my faith, my testimony, and the empirical evidence of God’s existance. But for the purpose of talking to stiff-necked unbelievers, whose fate is, sadly, eternal damnation, I must hold my tongue. Milk for babes, and Bourbon for Baptists, so to speak. I have heard what you say and will comment when the time is ripe.

  16. truepeers Says:

Israel is not a logo for freedom, like “Remember the Alamo”, or such.

-if you look at the historical development of every Western nation (and some others, like Ethiopia, Armenia), you will see that in their rhetoric, etc., they all modeled themselves on the Biblical Israel. This is because Christianity, or the New Testament, does not provide a model of a national covenant with God.

So, if you believe, as I do, that to be free, a people need a nation, a high culture of their own, then the model of Israel is historically a sign of freedom, as, e.g., in African-American spirituals. Among other things, the people of the Exodus are not bound to physical territory; their covenant does not turn on worldly victory and possession: God punishes and rewards his people and the covenant continues with or without political power. The faith was born and has survived in the wildnerness; and that is why Israel is a sign of freedom.
