Abbey Road – The Rehearsal
If the internets are to be believed – and I have never had any reason whatsoever to doubt them – the picture you see above is the rehearsal before the actual famous Abbey Road picture was taken. The Mayor might be wrong (ya, right), but the famous Abbey Road shot, the one on the album of the same name, came from left to right, where as this picture is on the other side of the road. I also don’t remember any old chick in a pajama top in the picture either.

Andy Mitchell and White letter Andy do not agree.
I speak for them.

Hm, interesting, another conflict between the Whites and the Reds.
Last time it didn’t work out that well.
Photoshopped, neither Lennon’s nor Starr’s head looks like it belongs on the body,or MAYBE Ringo had his Mom along to make sure the lads are properly dressed,no open flies or anything.

That might be Yoko. The best I’ve ever seen her, actually.

Paul’s not wearing sandals in the real photo, and he’s the only one still actually alive, although Zak did turn into quite a drummer boy, somewhat redeeming his dear old dad.
Ringo’s the only one I’d actually hire for work, I don’t need another union drive around here.
The groupies really slid downhill in the last few years didn’t they…

Ya, come to think of it, Paul wasn’t wearing Air Jordan’s, was he.
Maybe Red letter Andy was right, after all…

True, the boys are on the opposite side. There were many photos taken that day, and here is a site with a collection of outtakes containing this very picture: http://www.beatlesgifts.com/beatle-news/beatles-abbey-road-album-cover-photo-40-years/

Yes, funnily enough I just read that story a few days back. Until then, I didn’t even know there was a bystander across the street.
