Japan’s Deputy PM To The Elderly – “Hurry Up & Die”, You Gravy Sucking Pigs

Taro Aso, Japan’s Deputy PM ( seen here singing Ave Maria in Latin), remarked yesterday that Japan’s elderly should “hurry up and die“. He also announced there will be a 1 yen deposit on all glass soda bottles above 510 ml, but that didn’t seem to get the same reaction the “hurry up and die” crack did:

Describing patients with serious illnesses as “tube persons,” Mr Aso, who is 72, said they should be “allowed to die quickly” if they want to, Kyodo News reported.

“Heaven forbid I should be kept alive if I want to die,” he said. “You cannot sleep well when you think it’s all paid by the government. This won’t be solved unless you let them hurry up and die.”

Strangely enough, The Mayor also refers to certain people as “tube persons”, but he’s typically referring to guys who haven’t had a vasectomy.

Anyway, there’s a huge uproar in Japan and around the world because Taro Aso (The Mayor can’t stop saying that name without a wacky, over-the-top Japanese accent attached to it) said something that is considered offensive, yet The Mayor can’t find any offense in his remarks. Aso (ahhh, thank you), said that if some old fart wants to pack it in they should be allowed to. What the hell is wrong with that?

If a person has so many tubes attached to them that they look like they are being milked (that may or may not be one hell of a funny line. Probably not, but moving on….) and they decide they want to take a dirt nap, then that should be their right. We talk a lot about *quality of life* (The Mayor doesn’t, but he heard that phrase quite a bit on ER when it was on the Tele), so when the quality of life becomes crap and there’s no fixin’ what’s broken, then it should be up to the person who is broken to decide what’s best for them.

It’s not up to a doctor, or Obama’s death panels, or some outside force to decide what an individual does with his or her or its life, it’s up to the individual. What this Aso (ahhh, thank you) unit is saying is what many of us think but don’t say out loud. Like thinking that if there were no black guys in this country our crime rate would be next to nothing - you can think that but you better not say it out loud. BTW, The Mayor thinks that young black males are a major part of our rich multicultural tapestry.

If you don’t agree with Aso (ahhh, thank you), think about this for a second – if your mom or dad (you have to like them, this thought experiment won’t work if you hate their guts) were lying in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of their ass, and the doctor told him/her that there will be nothing they are ever going to be able to do with them, and let’s say your dad or mom are in their 80’s, their quality of life is going to suck and they will be in pain as long as they are alive, and they wanted to end their pain and die, wouldn’t you want that for them?

You wouldn’t?

Wow, you are one major league asshole.

Hahaha, The Mayor kids. You’re not an asshole, you’re just a greedy and selfish pig. You see, you want what’s best for YOU, not them. Or maybe there’s something The Mayor is missing here and you can fill him in on your non-greedy/selfish ways.

Elighten The Mayor.

Apparently …. The Mayor has sense of humor that is well founded in whatever childhood terrors that my lead to such a sense of humor…..

I fear that I may be sharing the same perspective …. but I LIKED my childhood…. i think.

We aren’t free to do what we want with our bodies while young, why expect freedom when at your weakest.

Individual freedom sounds good but nobody thinks of all the people it would inconvenience

    Ahhh… SO! (domo arigato!)

Speakin’ as a citizen-geezer, there’s always the 9mm cure. I’ve given this subject some serious thought.
