Folsom Fair–Your Children Will Thank You

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

This was first brought to my attention by the Neo Con at the Halls of Macadamia. Remember the Folsom Fair (fetish fair) I posted about last week? Seems everything is running along smoothly there, as you can see in the picture:

Two-year-olds Zola and Veronica Kruschel waddled through Folsom Street Fair amidst strangers in fishnets and leather crotch pouches, semi and fully nude men.

The twin girls who were also dressed for the event wore identical lace blouses, floral bonnets and black leather collars purchased from a pet store.

Fathers Gary Beuschel and John Kruse watched over them closely. They were proud to show the twins off.

“They will see more than the kids with moms and dads in Iowa,” said Beuschel, who wanted to expose his children to San Franciscos diverse community. “Every parent has to decide for themselves what is right for them. And I respect that. And we decided that this is right for our children.”

Beuschel and his girls were at the 22nd Folsom Street Fair, an annual leather event in San Franciscos South of Market district, which showcased outrageous costumes, fetish attire, and a community obsessed with bondage, whipping, and spanking.

“Why do (these people) bring kids here? This is a leather fair for god’s sake,” said Bahran Aliassa, who was masturbating in public. He has been doing it annually for the past six years.

Oakland resident Veronica Charles, 36, was with a baby stroller and said her son was too young to understand. “I don’t think I’ll bring him here when he is 6,” Charles said.

Hey, stop judging these fine, upstanding parents. They have every right to dress their children in dog collars and parade them around a fetish fair, it’s America, it’s their right. And to bring credibility to the event, Miller-Lite sponsors it, so, they must agree with what the Folsom Fair stands for, right? Right.

However, I wouldn’t try bringing your babies to a stripper bar. Seems child services doesn’t approve of that. I don’t see why though, it’s only nudity…kind of like the Folsom Fair.

Miller Hi-Life Pulls Ad For Lowlifes

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Miller Brewing, a sponsor of this weekend’s fetish street fair in San Francisco, has asked to have its logo removed from an advertising poster:

“While Miller has supported the Folsom Street Fair for several years, we take exception to the poster the organizing committee developed this year. We understand some individuals may find the imagery offensive and we have asked the organizers to remove our logo from the poster effective immediately,” the company told Cybercast News Service on Tuesday.

However, since there is no mention of Miller pulling its support from the festival itself, I can only conclude that Miller is still a sponsor, they just don’t want their name on the poster. Which is rather hypocritical.

Miller pulls its logo from the poster because the poster offends Christian’s, yet Miller still supports the festival, which, according to commenters from yesterdays post, is a festival where people openly have sex in the streets, whip each other is sado/mosochistic rituals and perform lewd acts in public (where children have been openly invited to attend by event organizers). That not only offends Christians, that’s pretty offensive to everybody.

My point isn’t to rain down on the fetish festival, my point is that Miller needs to get its act together. Stop acting like a bunch of hypocrits and take a stand. If you approve of the festival, go whole hog into it. If you don’t approve, then bow out gracefully. They’re not fooling anyone by pretending to be some sort of moral compass by taking their logo off the ad, meanwhile, on the street corner in full view of children, some guy is blowing some dude who’s dressed like a monkey while drinking that piss Miller calls beer.

Or something like that.

Who’s responsible for sending me this? Take a guess.

Homosexuals Mock The Last Supper

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

This advertising for San Francisco’s Folsom Street Fair (leather/fetish fair) depicting Christ and his deciples as sado-masochist fags have brought on the ire of various Christian groups:

“The bread and wine representing Christ’s broken body and lifegiving blood are replaced with sadomasochistic sex toys in this twisted version of Da Vinci’s The Last Supper,” CWA said on its Web site.

“‘Gay’ activists disingenuously call Christians ‘haters’ and ‘homophobes’ for honoring the Bible, but then lash out in this hateful manner toward the very people they accuse,” said said Matt Barber, CWA’s policy director for cultural issues.

“In their version of The Last Supper, Christ, Who gave His life for our sins, is despicably replaced by sin itself as the object of worship.”

I suppose this is the time when you expect me to lay into the homosexuals who approved this ad. Nope, I’m not going to do it.

I actually pity anyone who deliberately goes out of their way to intentionally hurt another group of people. Christians are easy targets. In a way, they are treated the same way queers were treated just 20 years ago. However, Christians are meek and forgiving, show love and tolerance, where as today’s queer is vindictive and angry, spiteful and hateful. As I said, I pity them.

I also pity Miller, the main sponsor of this event. I’m sure they didn’t want to be aligned with this hate-filled campaign, but they’re stuck with it now. Something about how, “You are judged by the company you keep”, comes to mind though.

Miller-Come suck back a warm one
