Taking A Long Walk On A Short Piers

Monday, February 24th, 2014

Pier’s Morgan – seen here making a funny face after drinking two quarts of his own semen – has been canned by CNN because he’s a fucking idiot:

CNN’s president, Jeffrey Zucker, has other problems, but none bigger than Mr. Morgan and his plum 9 p.m. time slot. Mr. Morgan said last week that he and Mr. Zucker had been talking about the show’s failure to connect and had decided to pull the plug, probably in March.

The biggest similarity between CNN and Pier’s Morgan, is that both Pier’s Morgan and CNN are parasites who will now start looking for a new host. Thank you, The Mayor will be here all week. Tip your waitress.

Of the 17,859 reasons why American’s, and the world, hate this pizza-faced lunatic so much, the number 1 reason is that he reminds us of that guy who decides to tell you what he thinks of your ex-girlfriend a few hours after you broke up with the biznitch. Yes, The Mayor knows she was fat and ugly, had hangnails, and made slug trails when she walked, but The Mayor doesn’t need some outsider pointing that out to him. Just as America knows it has its share of problems, they don’t need some pompous, hateful foreigner coming to their shore to tell them what their problems are and how to behave. After all, America already has the UN and 9/10 of the world doing that to them already.

The Mayor can hardly fathom what it must be like to be fired from CNN. CNN’s ratings are so poor across the board, and the lack of talent is completely shocking, that being shit-canned by that horse and pony show would be like getting fired as a Wal-Mart greeter because they were looking for someone a little smarter. Hot damn, rumour has it that CNN is going to fill Morgan’s spot with that herpe infested mongrel Kathy Griffin. That would be awesome. Imagine “Piers” getting fired from a 7th rate *news* organization and being replaced by someone who looks like Ronald McDonald five days into a heroin bender.

Then again, Griffin and Morgan are about as hard left as they come, and really the only thing that separates the two is that Griffin has balls and a penis, where as Morgan drinks his own semen. At least that’s what The Mayor read in Time magazine a few years back.

What a great day.

AP Is Butt Hurt – The Mayor Sheds A Tear

Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

So the Justice Department secretly seized two months of phone records involving editors and reporters at the Associated Press, eh? Gary Pruitt, president and CEO of The Associated Press called the Justice Department’s actions “outrageous” and “disturbing”, and followed that with a “strongly worded letter” to Eric Holder.

The Mayor cried a tsunami of tears.

The AP, as well as every and all other MSM outlets have been carrying Obama’s water since day one. They never looked into Obama’s past, asking even the simplest questions like “why are your records sealed?” or, “how come there isn’t one student from your Harvard class that remembers you?”

But when it comes to the world of Joe the Plumber, look out world, I see a Pulitzer in my future.

Benghazi, the details of Obamacare, the illegal wars abroad, drone strikes, Fast & Furious, the billions of rounds of ammo purchased by the Department of Homeland Security, the authorized assassinations of US citizens, the Black Panther case, Obama’s appointment of commie Czar’s, bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia, Obama’s association with Tony Rezko, Bill Ayer’s and Bernadine Dohrn, and even something as simple as investigating Obama’s birth certificate; the media has been next to silent and even worse – has covered up for this piece of trash, yet now the media are “shocked” and “disturbed” by the actions of the Justice Department?

Good. The Mayor is glad they are shocked. Hopefully they will be shocked to death over this.

The media has been complicit in helping Obama turn the US into a commie trash heap from day one, and now they are upset that the king commie has turned on them. They shouldn’t be upset, they should dust the dirt from their knees, wipe the goo from their chins and open their eyes. What Obama and company has planned is going to get worse, the AP needs to wake the hell up.

April Was Cruel For CNN – CNN Is Cruel To Us Every Month

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012

Scoring slightly below The Basket Weaving Network (BWN) and The Origami Channel (OC), April was the worst month for ratings CNN has seen in over a decade:

The once-dominant cable news network posted decade-lows among both total viewers (357,000) and Adults 25-54 (108,000). Versus April last year, CNN was down 21% in total viewers and 29% in 25-54. In comparison, leader Fox News CHannel was up 2% in total viewers (1.1 million) and 1% in 25-54 (273,000) and No.2 MSNBC was flat in total viewers (425,000) and down 5% in 25-54 (139,000).

As for CNN’s powerful evening line-up, that too was el bombsville:

John King USA at 6 PM was down 41% in the 25-54 demo, Erin Burnett Outfront at 7 PM was down 34%, Piers Morgan was down 14% at 9PM, and Anderson Cooper 360 was down 8% at 8 PM and 28% at 10PM. In primetime, CNN had its lowest rated month in nearly two years, since August 2010, in both total viewers (508,000, down 16% from last year) and adults 25-54 (149,000, down 22%).

What’s that word one uses to describe getting pleasure from other peoples misery? Oh, right, the word is pleasure. Colour The Mayor pleasured.

It’s hard to believe that very, very, very few people watched such enthralling segments as “Black in America” and “Soledad O’Brien’s Beyond Trayvon.” The Mayor would have thought no one alive could ever get sick of talking about race, how bad blacks have it in the States, and how whites are the root cause of everything. As for the nightly line-up of journalistas, there isn’t one primetime CNN’er who The Mayor wouldn’t like to see being attacked via an icepick. Every last one of them come across as condescending arseholes. From the arrogant and completely unwatchable Piers Organ, to Anderson “Teabagger” Cooper (Anderson has no doubt been teabagged a few zillion times himself), the whole lefty crew at CNN deserves exactly what they’re getting right now. And what they’re getting is exactly nothing.

No One Likes Chelsea Clinton

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

Perhaps not EVERYONE hates her. The Mayor is sure her mom and dad still like her, but when it comes to her performance as a “reporter”,  there aint much love for her in TV land:

The former first daughter’s new job as a correspondent for NBC News has gotten off to a rocky start — and, after just two on-air pieces (thus far) for “Rock Center with Brian Williams” and the “NBC Nightly News,” she has become the target of withering criticism from inside the TV world.

And it’s only getting worse.

A piece headlined “Chelsea Clinton, TV’s Dork Diva, Struggles at NBC” that appeared last week on the media site buzzfeed.com has renewed questions about her qualifications for the job — and NBC’s motives for hiring her.

Even before Clinton agreed to join NBC last fall, the perception was that “the news channels were auditioning for her — not the other way around,” the article stated.

One high-ranking (and unidentified) NBC exec reportedly told colleagues after meeting with Clinton, 32, that “she was going to be simply ‘terrible’ on television.”

It’s easy to see what has happened so far. NBC hired Chelsea as a favour to Bill and Hillary, and to gain favour among their liberal brethren. Even though Chelsea obviously has a face for radio, and zero experience in the jouralista field, NBC hired her anyway. Although lacking any experience, NBC figured any idiot nowadays can be a journalista, and she would eventually grow into her role – much like a fungus grows on the scrotum if said scrotum isn’t properly washed. Unfortunately for NBC, Chelsea washes her scrotum, so to date her yeast infection has not grown like NBC would have hoped.

Chelsea Clinton is ability challenged, but NBC doesn’t hire on ability anyway, so that’s no biggie. Ratings at NBC have been going down faster than Obama on a plate of Chihuahua, but ratings don’t seem to matter to them, what seems to matter is carrying the water for the democrats. With that in mind, Chelsea is perfect and should fit in well with all the other malcontents, affirmative action hires, and crazed journalistas that infest the halls of 30 Rock.

What Media Bias?

It always amazes The Mayor how different the president’s son looks when we’re shown an updated version of him.

NBCee Ya Later – Ratings Tank

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Although not as exciting as the reintroduction of the McRib, the latest Nielsen Ratings have come out, and topping the list of the biggest losers stands NBC:

Through the first four weeks of the TV season ending Oct. 16, about 3.3 million adults under 50 years old have been watching prime-time TV shows on NBC, according to the latest figures from Nielsen Holdings NV. That is down 9.3% from the same period a year earlier. Much of the decline is concentrated in NBC’s entertainment shows.

Leaving out National Football League games, which NBC airs on Sunday nights, the network’s 18-to-49-year-old audience is 2.2 million—down 16% from a year earlier. That demographic is the audience group most valued by advertisers.

That’s a shame. The Mayor is positive that having affiliates like CNBC and MSNBC – with the likes of Sharpton, Maddow, Matthew’s, etc – has nothing to do with the decline of NBC itself. Also, The Mayor is positive that having Communistcast and the not-paying taxes, bailout basket-case GE as the owner’s of the decaying Obama network has nothing to do with NBC’s declining ratings as well.

It’s just a three year blip, nothing more, nothing less. Sure, The Mayor doesn’t know one single Conservative that watches NBC or any of its affiliates any more, but that doesn’t have anything to do with NBC’s horrible ratings, either.

And as for the other networks’:

Competitors are faring better. Through four weeks, Walt Disney Co.’s ABC is down 5.8% among viewers 18-to-49 in prime-time, CBS Corp.’s eponymous network is down 2.3% and News Corp.’s Fox Broadcasting is up 11%, according to the latest Nielsen data.

“Competitors are faring better.” Indeed. When comparing losses, ABC and CBS lost big, just not as big as NBC. It’s like comparing different shades or horse shit. In the end, it’s still horse shit.

As for Fox? Up 11%. Hmmmm, The Mayor is positive that doesn’t mean anything, as well.

Random House To Joe McGinniss – Give Us More Palin Lies

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Taken in its entirety from Big Journalism:

In an email dated January 27, 2011, Joe McGinniss, author of The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, says that Random House lawyers have told him he has provided nothing more than “tawdry gossip” to substantiate “any of the salacious stories about the Palin family.”

He adds that “No one has ever provided factual evidence” (original emphasis) of the following accusations:

a)  Todd had sex with a hooker, or with anyone else outside his marriage.

b)  Sarah had an affair with Brad Hanson, or anyone else.

c)  Track was a druggie who enlisted in the army to avoid a jail term.  Or that he vandalized Wasilla school buses.

d)  Willow was involved in the vandalism of the empty house in Meadow Lakes.  Or that Sarah rushed back from Hawaii to put the lid on that.

e)  Trig is not Sarah’s natural born child.

f)   Bristol was promiscuous as a high schooler and drank and used drugs, or became pregnant again after Tripp’s birth.

Yet almost all of these accusations appear in McGinniss’s book, without any substantial proof beyond gossip, and without any apparent new information to address the lack of “factual evidence” in January 2011.

Furthermore, McGinniss continues to promote his claims, as he did yesterday in his remarks about Trig Palin in an appearance on The View to promote his book.

Below, I present each of these accusations in turn, and how McGinniss used most of them in The Rogue, even though he admitted in his email that he could not prove them:

a) Todd had sex with a hooker, or with anyone else outside his marriage.

McGinniss dropped the “hooker” accusation–probably because he was afraid, as his email suggests, that the sole source “may be mentally unstable” and that even the National Enquirer appeared to be ready “to back off this story.”

Yet McGinniss did publish allegations in The Rogue that Todd flirted with other women (p. 115) and had sex outside his marriage (p. 169), based solely on sources identified as “an attractive white woman” and “a friend of his,” respectively. Both sources are identified in the book as having spoken to McGinniss in 2010–before the January 2011 email in which he admitted he had no factual evidence beyond “tawdry gossip.”

b)  Sarah had an affair with Brad Hanson, or anyone else.

McGinniss presents no named source for this accusation in The Rogue other than an article in the National Enquirer in October 2008. He refers to “a friend of Todd’s,” who tells McGinniss in 2010 that the affair–which both Palin and Hanson deny–was “known” (p. 64). He also cites third-party rumors, cited in turn (apparently in 2010) by former Wasilla mayor John Stein, who states that “we were hearing” about an affair during the mayoral campaign in which he was ousted by Sarah Palin (p. 64). Similarly, he cites third-party rumors from a woman named Colleen Cottle, whom he speaks to upon arriving in Wasilla in 2010. McGinniss does not quote Cottle directly, but says that she fills him in on local gossip, and attributes a remark about the affair to her (p. 6). All of these flimsy sources pre-date McGinniss’s email in January 2011 in which he admits that: “[N]o one has ever provided factual evidence” for the claims he lists.

c)  Track was a druggie who enlisted in the army to avoid a jail term.  Or that he vandalized Wasilla school buses.

McGinniss’s basis for accusations of drug use by Track Palin is the National Enquirer, which in turn had quoted an unnamed “source” in 2008. He adds that “reports of Track’s drug use persisted even into the summer of 2010” but does not specify what those reports are, or from whom (p. 114). His primary source for the accusation of vandalism in 2005 is local gossip: “word spread immediately in Wasilla,” McGinniss says, though he also claims that an unnamed radio station and an unnamed television station in Anchorage reported the accusation (p. 113). In the end, McGinniss hedges his bets: “Whether or not Track was involved in the school bus vandalism…” (p. 113).

McGinniss does not include the accusation that Track “enlisted in the army to avoid a jail term” in The Rogue. However, he does quote an unnamed “friend” of Track’s who said that Track enlisted to avoid getting into “trouble” such as “[t]he school bus thing, theft issues, multiple stuff” (p. 113). McGinniss does not clarify whether the “friend” is speaking from personal knowledge, or merely repeating third-hand rumors, perhaps provided by McGinniss himself as a prompt. For good measure, McGinniss claims–again, without any evidence–that Sarah Palin engineered Track’s enlistment and his deployment to Iraq for political gain, and quotes an unnamed state trooper who claims Track showed no signs of patriotism on the way to the enlistment office (p. 114).

All of the “evidence” cited by McGinniss to substantiate his claims about Track Palin appears to pre-date his January 2011 email in which he states that Random House lawyers have told him that he has no evidence, and that “nobody” has provided proof.

d)  Willow was involved in the vandalism of the empty house in Meadow Lakes.  Or that Sarah rushed back from Hawaii to put the lid on that.

McGinniss’s only source is the National Enquirer, which made these claims in 2010. He also claims “[m]any in Wasilla” believe the story (p. 111). He also cites gossip related by Colleen Cottle in 2010–again, without quoting her directly (p. 6). None of this “evidence” was obtained after McGinniss admitted, in his email, that he could not prove the claim.

e) Trig is not Sarah’s natural born child.

McGinniss provides no new evidence for this debunked claim, quoting “questions” being asked on “blogs” and the like (p. 316). McGinniss also cites “many Wasillans” who allegedly say that “even if she had not faked the entire story of her pregnancy and Trig’s birth, it was something she was eminently capable of doing” (p. 285). In other words, he supports a lie, which he tacitly admits he cannot prove, by attacking Palin’s character.

f)   Bristol was promiscuous as a high schooler and drank and used drugs, or became pregnant again after Tripp’s birth.

McGinniss’s source is again local gossip in the summer of 2010: “Rumors immediately run rampant,” he says (p. 204). Once again, he also cites gossip allegedly related by (but not directly quoted from) Colleen Cottle in 2010. He mentions a July 2010 interview in The Daily Beast with Bristol’s alleged new boyfriend at the time, Ben Barber, which does not discuss promiscuity or drugs, and actually contradicts the claim that Bristol became pregnant again. None of these “tawdry” rumors, which McGinniss admits in his January 2011 email have no factual basis, is supported by subsequent evidence.

**From The Mayor – Perhaps, this McGinniss unit, and especially Random House, need to be taught a lesson. Maybe a $250 million lesson. As for The Mayor, Random House is just one of the many companies that have now gone on his list and will never receive one red cent from him.

Parker Spitzer – Already Hitting Bottom

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

What do you get when you cross a RINO and a balding dude that bags hookers? According to the NYT, a ratings disaster:

The political discussion program, featuring the hosts Kathleen Parker, the conservative columnist, and Eliot Spitzer, the one-time governor of New York, fizzled badly in its initial outing Monday, attracting only 454,000 total viewers.

That not only left CNN far behind its main rivals — Bill O’Reilly on Fox had 3.1 million on Fox News and Keith Olbermann had 1.1 million on MSNBC – but it also trailed Nancy Grace on the HLN channel, who had 468,000 viewers.

The Mayor is quite surprised that more people didn’t tune in to watch Client #7 and Kathleen “Yawnathon” Parker. I mean, Eliot Spitzer is still relevant, he’ll be the first to tell you so.

Considering the extremely low ratings and terrible press surrounding this disaster, you would think the news couldn’t get any worse for CNN. Well, you’d be wrong:

Perhaps more troubling for CNN, “Parker Spitzer” was down sharply from the show it replaced, “Rick’s List,” hosted by Rick Sanchez, who was recently ousted from CNN. And it even fell short of the show that had long occupied the 8 p.m. slot on CNN, with Campbell Brown.

Ms. Brown dropped out of the competition in May when she conceded she was not competitive with Fox and MSNBC. But she had been averaging over 500,000 viewers.

“Parker Spitzer” lost about 8 percent of Mr. Sanchez’s total audience from September, but fared even worse among the viewers that the news channels sell to advertisers, those between the ages of 25 and 54.  Mr. Sanchez had averaged 156,000 viewers in that group in September. On Monday night, “Parker Spitzer” pulled in only 118,000, a drop of 24 percent.

That’s gotta sting. Imagine, opening with 50,000 fewer viewers than the person you’re replacing, the person who headed for the hills after admitting their ratings were terrible.

But that doesn’t mean anything to the muckity mucks at CNN, the folks that have learned to turn a frown upside down – as if they have a choice:

A CNN spokesperson said: “We are pleased with the quality of the show and over time we think viewers will be drawn to the more thoughtful discussion and lively debate that Kathleen and Eliot have to offer.”

Finally, someone who is more boring and pout to lunch than Parker or Spitzer.

The Mayor can’t understand why Americans aren’t inviting Client #7 into their living rooms. The Mayor thought Americans would have no trouble cozying up to the TV’s to watch an adulterer, sexual deviant, liar and disgraced politician (the last two are interchangeable), and a “Conservative” who trashes Sarah Palin at every turn and despises the Tea Party. Wonders upon wonders.

The MSM Continues To Tank

Monday, October 4th, 2010

A slew of reports released last week on the msm and their ratings, confirmed what everybody with a neck already knew – the msm is tanking faster than a Toronto sports team (pick one, any one).

First off, Anderson Cooper. Anderson Cooper is to CNN what a gigantic, greasy bucket of chicken is to Michael Moore: life. Without Anderson Cooper, CNN’s next highest rated show is “Life of a Turkish Bathhouse Patron” (which incidentally features Anderson Cooper). So when Cooper’s ratings were released last week and were only minimally higher than “Big Bob, Vampire Slayer”, the muckity mucks at CNN must have grabbed their chest and screamed, “Oy Vey iz mir”:

The first hour of “Anderson Cooper 360,” which airs nightly from 10 to midnight, just had its worst quarter ever both in total viewers and in the 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research.

During the third quarter of 2010, which ran from June 28 to September 24, Cooper averaged 582,000 total viewers and 180,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo, according to Nielsen. For some context, that’s down from 1.2 million total viewers and 424,000 demo viewers in the third quarter of 2008.

Here’s some more context: if Cooper wasn’t Gloria Vanderbilt’s kid, Cooper would have to go back to his old job of polishing the knobs of the brass on the show The Mole.

Cooper isn’t the only one to see his ratings plummet though, CBS, ABC and NBC all saw their ratings reach all-time lows:

The ratings are in the for just-completed 2009-2010 network evening news season. And when compared to 2008-2009 season, “NBC Nightly News” ABC’s “World News” and the “CBS Evening News” have lost a combined 739,000 Total Viewers and a combined 338,000 A25-54 viewers.

“Nightly News with Brian Williams,” which finishes at #1 for the 14th season in a row, lost the least: -138K Total Viewers (8.698M in 08-09 v. 8.560M in 09-10), while Katie Couric‘s CBS program, lost the most: -343K (6.053M in 08-09 v 5.710M in 09-10). “World News” which saw Charles Gibson anchor the first few months of the season, and Diane Sawyer picking up in December, lost the most younger viewers: -221K (2.351M in 08-09 v. 2.130 in 09-10).

The various news mills will churn out a bunch of garbage explaining to us why their ratings are brutal, but the only real answer why they suck so bad is this:

For the fourth straight year, the majority of Americans say they have little or no trust in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly. The 57% who now say this is a record high by one percentage point.

The polling, down by another government mouthpiece that can’t be trusted, Gallup, came to that horrible number by asking Americans how much they trust newspapers, TV and radio. The Mayor is telling you right now, if radio wasn’t included in that question, we would be looking at 70% disapproval.

Also, Fox is the #1 trusted cable news network. That’s a fact, liberals can suck it. Take Fox and radio out of the question, and you’d be looking at about 80%.

Newspapers and TV news are dead. Okay, they are life support, but they need to have their plug pulled. The msm have proven time and time again that they can’t be trusted, they are the enemy and must be treated like the enemy. They are not going to change, they are only going to get worse (somehow). The Mayor doesn’t watch government-run news because he can’t stand the thought of watching liberal equity hire for a half hour. But truth be told, The Mayor really digs watching the liars implode. I’d even pay $25 pay-per-view to watch it live.

Journalist Warning Label

Monday, September 6th, 2010

To ensure future interviews with subject, important questions were not asked.

That label actually depends on who is being asked the question. If a leftie is being asked questions, you can bet your bottom dollar the questions are all going to be softballs. If the *journalist* is talking to a Conservative, or someone they don’t agree with, it’s not uncommon the questions will be trebucheted in this form, “have you stopped beating your wife?”

Journalist Warning Labels

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Journalist hiding their own opinions by using phrases like 'some people claim'.

Or, “there is growing support for”, without telling us where this growing support is coming from. Knowing ahead of time what these keywords and phrases mean, allows us the opportunity to immediately figure out who the journalista has their allegiance with, who they work for, and what their agenda is. “some people claim”, it’s like a liberal calling card.

Journalism Warning Labels

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Journalist does not understand the subject they are writing about.

I use to personally know quite a few journalists, so over the years I’ve heard some pretty amazing and ridiculous stories about their craft. Some of the things I’ve heard – like how journalists get their sources (hint – some just make them up), or what they do when they have to write about a subject they know nothing about (hint – they Wiki) – it would shock you, if you only knew.

The above label is dead on. Keep in mind that many journalists received their educational degree via community college. In Toronto, you could go to Centennial College (basket weaving college) for two years, graduate, and go straight to The Red Star and get a job. I’m not saying only idiots went to Centennial, I’m not saying, well, whatever.

So when a journalist is asked to report on, let’s say tax reform at City Hall in Toronto (now you know this is a fictional example), 99% of these folks wouldn’t have the foggiest idea what tax reform entails. So, being the stunned wonders that they are, the journalists group together like pack animals; one of the smarter pack animals – the guy with a 87 IQ – tells the other slobbering, drooling tools who to talk to to get their talking points. 99/100 times they’ll talk to the furthest lefty on council. From then on in, whenever mentally deficient journalist needs a quote, or needs to back up a statement, he always has far lefty to call on.

Journalists do NOT understand hardly anything they write about. They are dumb. That’s a fact. A fact that can NOT ever be disputed.
